Summer Joy in Åre
Founded in 2010 by Åre Bergscyklister, the festival is open to everyone — offering an action-packed programme for riders of all ages and levels, and for anyone visiting Åre during the most eventful week of summer.
15 Years of Dirt and Glory
Born from a passion for two wheels and the rugged beauty of Jämtland, Åre Bike Festival has evolved from a weekend gathering into a celebration of everything cycling. What began with a handful of local riders now attracts thousands from across Europe and beyond. The festival is organised by Åre Bergscyklister — a non-profit working to strengthen the cycling community, promote the joy of movement among children and young people, and increase interest in the most fun thing there is.
"Åre Bike Festival is not just about racing — it's about community, adventure, and celebrating the mountain lifestyle."
Activities and program items for everyone
The festival contains lots of awesome things.
After-bike every day at Åre Square with public events and the opportunity to meet many suppliers and brands. The unique and exclusive “midnight cycling”. Established and sanctioned cycling competitions. Lots of clinics. Activities for the whole family where the kids will have a lot of fun. But above all, the opportunity for lots of socializing, joy and lots of laughter.
World-Class Trails at Your Doorstep
Åre is home to one of Europe's most diverse mountain bike landscapes. From the 1,420m summit of Åreskutan down through the bike park's downhill trails, across flowy trail runs in Björnen and cross-country singletrack, and out onto scenic gravel roads — there's terrain for every rider. With the gondola and lifts providing easy access to the alpine zone, your ride starts at the top.
